Purging the fundhist table
We are contemplating purging old records from the massive fundhist table. Does anyone else do this? Any issues to watch out for?

We are contemplating purging old records from the massive fundhist table. Does anyone else do this? Any issues to watch out for?
We have not done this. How many records are in there, and do you have evidence that it is slowing you down? I just wonder how much you will gain from purging the records. The only issue I can see on the surface is losing the ability to calculate since inception rate of return for some funds. I suspect that purging records for funds with no holders, especially going really far back, would pose little risk.
