Bring your own device policy (BYOD)
Now that hybrid work is here to stay, we have started reviewing some of our policies we put in place last year, during the first height of COVID.
One of these policies is the Bring your own device (BYOD) policy. My first, do you use BYOD or corporate owned personally enabled (COPE) policies? Second question, if you use BYOD how do you balance the corporate data on personal devices? Third question, how much input do you get from HR and legal counsel on the policy? Fourth and final question, how do you mitigate the risk of personal devices with corporate data crossing international borders?
Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have a question that hasn't been asked, on this post, please feel free to add it.

I've found that Intune works pretty well on iOS devices, but Android Enterprise is confusing for end users. I'm not sure what's different in our environment, but Safari runs in the managed context on our iOS devices. The personal vs work containers are much more transparent to users on iOS devices, whereas the Android work profile is cumbersome to many users. In theory it's nice to be able to disable the work profile on Android, but users are constantly tripped up by using the personal play store versus the work profile play store to get apps to install in the managed context. Telling users to install apps from the company portal helps, but it's hard to stay on top of keeping every app users may want to access work data in the company portal.
