Remote App/Published App
Hi - What are y'all using for your remote app/published app solution for users to access Relius Admin? Citrix XenApp? VMware ThinApp? For Azure, it seems like "published apps" in Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) is the way to go (see below):

We've had pretty good success using the built-in Remote Desktop Services RemoteApp functionality for Relius Admin. We don't let users connect to the Remote Desktop Server as admin unless someone needs it temporarily for plan exports. We've been running this way for 3-4 years. We occasionally have some pop under Windows issues, but our Remote Desktop server is set to log off user after 2 minutes of disconnect. This effectively only allows re-connect for brief connectivity issues. We advise our users who encounter problems to disconnect for 5 minutes to ensure a fresh user session is created in Windows when Relius Admin is launched. This often corrects errors and odd behavior. The other headache isn't specific to Remote Desktop servers, but trying to add all of the necessary vb6 components for Relius Admin in a current release of Windows is a pain. Microsoft has stated that application developers have a responsibility to add the necessary redistributable files at the time of application installation, but I don't think FIS has fixed this since Microsoft stopped including the necessary vb6 dll and ocx files in the default OS install.
