2024 RTUG Mid-year Virtual Meeting

The Retirement Technology User Group (RTUG) is holding a virtual meeting to discuss the current outlook for the FIS Retirement Platform from an IT and Ops perspective.

Agenda

• Introduction
• Roundtable discussion led by Bappa Pal, FIS: What is FIS doing to migrate systems internally to FRG and what its clients (RTUG) can learn from that experience as it unfolds. Discussion topics include but are not limited to underlying technologies, mapping, timelines, API's, etc. This is also an opportunity for FIS to learn how its clients are using Relius present-day and what we hope to see in FRP.
• Discussion of next in-person RTUG meeting: January 29th - 31st in Vegas. Potential agenda topics, call for speakers, and board member. 

This is our (close enough to) mid-year meeting featuring Bappa Pal (https://www.linkedin.com/in/bappa-pal-7327423/) of FIS. Over the last 3 years, Bappa has been leading the Retirement Transformation efforts at FIS which includes simplifying, standardizing and modernizing retirement platform for FIS clients. Specifically, Bappa has been focused on Transformation initiative for T. Rowe Price which include transitioning to FRP (FIS Retirement Platform) and FIS ancillary applications and decommissioning TRP legacy, be-spoke applications. Prior to FIS, Bappa was at T. Rowe Price Global Technology for over 22 years where he led and managed technology solutions and platforms for Global Distribution including Retirement, Individual Investors, Intermediary and Institutional business lines. Bappa's expertise spans Cloud (AWS) transformation, Digital Experience, Data Management, Workflow, Record Keeping and Call Center technologies. Bappa has a Master's degree in Engineering from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).
